“Evening in Bloom” provides an exclusive first look at “Hort Couture,” the theme for the Chicago Flower & Garden Show, on Friday, March 9 at Navy Pier. Chicago’s springtime coming out party, from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., is expected to draw an A-list crowd of attendees before the show opens to the public on Saturday. In keeping with the theme, which reflects the influence of fashion and design in floral, plant and landscape creations, models will stroll the show wearing new creations by local young designers from the Chicago Fashion Incubator.
Meet cast members from the NBC daytime drama “Days of Our Lives,” which has a feature garden in the show, will greet and mingle with guests as they sample fine wines, cocktails, delectable hors d’oeuvres and fine sweet treats.
