About the Show:
The roots of the Chicago Flower & Garden Show can be traced as far back as 1847! The Show, held each March at Chicago’s Navy Pier (March 12-20, 2016), is an experience for the senses, invoking memories of spring after a typically long and cold Chicago winter.
The Chicago Flower & Garden Show, presented by Mariano’s creates an experience that the attendee will never forget by presenting new and exciting interactive concepts. It is where consumers and gardeners alike come to see the latest that the industry has to offer. Consumers want more from the people that ‘sell' them ‘things’ - they want an experience; and the Chicago Flower & Garden Show creates an emotion and physical experience that galvanizes the consumer with those who support it.
Local landscape designers, builders and suppliers create realistic solutions within feature gardens and displays that inspire and demonstrate to attendees the possibilities for their own gardens, yards or balconies—It is a visual shopping tour of gardening, greening, floral and home-related ideas.
The new theme of CHICAGO IS will treat upwards of 40,000 gardening enthusiasts and newbies alike to the sights, scents and sounds of feature gardens with blooming perennials, annuals and trees while water features rustle throughout the Festival Halls of Chicago’s acclaimed Navy Pier.
The Flower & Garden Show is supported by the City of Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events, Magnificent Mile Association, Streeterville Chamber of Commerce, Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce, Choose Chicago, Chicago Gateway Green, Illinois Landscape Contractors Association, Navy Pier and others. These organizations recognize the impact that this show has on Chicago’s economy during the 1st Quarter and its intrinsic value to the city.
