Chicago Gateway Green - Chicago Gateway Green was founded in 1986 on the belief that beauty and sustainability go hand in hand. Since then, Chicago Gateway Green and its partners have helped to improve both the local environment and the quality of life for millions of Chicagoland residents and visitors. A 501(c)3 non-profit organization, Chicago Gateway Green improves Chicago's communities through three key programs: the Expressway Partnership, transforming city roadways into landscaped parkways; the International Sculpture Program, beautifying gateways through the installation of public, international art on expressways; and the Tree Partnership Program, a large-scale tree planting initiative that transforms vacant land into tree-filled green spaces.
Garden Gallery & Studio - The mission of the Gallery & Studio is to expand and cultivate the talents of artists with intellectual and physical disabilities, affording them opportunities for personal creative expression and a financial livelihood. It is also our goal to fashion a welcoming space for individuals at all skill levels and artistic experience to work together in a supportive community. The Garden Gallery & Studio is one of the innovative options offered by Garden Center Services, a nonprofit agency providing supports to persons with disabilities since 1956.
Peterson Garden Project - Peterson Garden Project - Peterson Garden Project is a not-for-profit organization, and they're looking to inspire everyone they meet to grow their own food and community. If you love the taste of a homegrown tomato, are curious about growing food yourself, and would like to make urban gardening the norm, not the exception - then they're looking for you!
Union League Boys and Girls Club - The Union League Boys & Girls Clubs was founded by the membership of the Union League Club of Chicago on December 26, 1919 and became an affiliate member of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America on February 23, 1920. We now have 6 locations in Chicago and a Camp in Salem, Wisconsin. Our city locations include 3 Clubs: Club One, Club Two and Baretto and 3 Club Extension Sites at Roberto Clemente Community Academy, Pickard Elementary School and Chicago International Charter School-Bucktown Campus.
Urban Alliance - Urban Alliance is a nonprofit organization founded in Washington, DC in 1996 that provides under-resourced youth with work experience and support to prepare them for a life of self-sufficiency. In fall 2012, Urban Alliance Chicago opened, serving 70 youth through the High School Internship Program.
